Stumbled on this little classic hole-in-the-wall in downtown Hagerstown last week. It is non-de script (see the pic) and is pretty plain inside. The menu is basic but the foods have a distinctness about them. For example, the philly cheese steak meat tastes like it's out of a high quality gyro rather than just chopped up steak. Also, the fries have a special tang to them that puts them above the standard for average fries.

Let me first say, we were kinda entering this place with a guarded attitude. From the outside it did not seem impressive. Once inside we were greeted with a friendly smile and a person who seemed genuinely happy we were inside her business. Told her we were first timers and she took her time to explain her menu. (Not used to that) Now to the good stuff!! The food was excellent (presentation, taste, color). We ordered Steak Philly, a Catfish Po Boy, Catfish and Grits and Chicken n waffles!! All cooked to perfection!! The Sweet Tea and Lemonade are served in vats!! And it is delicious!! If we are ever in this area again we will surely stop in here for a meal again!! Wish I could give them 6 Stars!!

When I first moved here about two years ago, this restaurant was one of my first stops. I was greeted with warm smiles, excellent customer service, and even better food. However, since that initial visit, I've been disappointed. The phone number listed on Yelp and Facebook is out of service, so I can't call to place an order or check if they're open. Unfortunately, it seems they are hardly ever open. I've visited at least 12 times over the past two years, and each time, they were closed. You would think they would be open on a Friday at 2 PM, but no luck there either. It's frustrating because the food is amazing, but there's no reliable way to know when they're operating. Their Facebook page states they’re only closed on Sundays, yet I've tried multiple times from Monday to Friday between 12 PM and 4 PM with no success.
