McDonald's Gympie

OK , take me for a hungry fool , but I did think that if they created a "Gourmet Collection" , they might have actually put some effort in .So , I ordered the GC Angus Truffle meal , with fries and drink.Order line was reasonable as it was a little after midday , ordered and was given a ticket to wait , was only there for about a minute and was called , so the service was swift , but I'm always a bit suspicious of that as I was served prior to others that were before me , means my meal was not cooked freshly , was waiting in a warmer.Home is only 2 minutes away , went straight there , and started to eat.The fries for me are always a huge disappointment , that shoestring stuff is for kids , where's my adult version ?As for the burger , well , adjectives almost fail me ! The truffles are (what little there is of tiny specks !) in the dressing for the greens of the burger , not spread on the patty , the brioche bun was already collapsing on itself and way too sweet , the patty had almost no flavour , unlike many other Angus offerings , the cheese was almost the only redeeming feature.I do know where to get a great burger in Gympie , but this ain't the place !!!A poor effort Macca's !

A quick turn off the highway can lead to average quality food and a traffic jam trying to leave.This is a busy Maccas, but not sure if that allows for warm food, not hot food. The toilets need to be inspected more often - but I tend to blame the poor hygiene practices & respect by fellow travellers.

We were heading North and again needed/wanted something quick so as not to hamper our trip's progress, The staff made it quick and simple

Always busy in this Maccas but service is great and food is fresh. Not had a problem there at all. It's also always clean too

We have tried to get into this place on 3 or 4 occasions at meal times without any luck. The drive through is always jammed with cars and line ups out onto the street. Plenty of agro with visitors to adjoining businesses & people trying to get in & out of other car parks. The actual car park is way too small & not designed for normal size vehicles or 4WD's. The size of the car parking spaces & access is better suited to little sub compacts & motorcycles. Don't come near this place if you have a trailer or caravan. Hungry Jacks up the road caters for bigger vehicles, caravans & a stress free drive through.
