Cerveceria El Bocaito

El servicio fue rápido, pero la actitud de la camarera española y la otra que parecía ser extranjera fue bastante desagradable. La comida estaba bien. Los precios eran aceptables. A pesar de que el restaurante estaba lleno, esto no justifica una actitud tan antipática.

Después de años sin poder visitar Guardamar, hoy pudimos regresar y, como era de esperar, comimos en El Bocaito. A pesar de este largo período de ausencia, siguen manteniendo su excelente servicio tanto en atención como en rapidez para servir y lo deliciosa que está la comida. Gracias por seguir trabajando de esta manera, ¡y esperamos no tardar mucho en volver a disfrutar de Guardamar y de su cocina!

The place is quite correct, it eats well, very rich croquettes, the rice is good, but there is a nice dessert that we ask for the granny cake is the least that I have the truth quite scratch though it is a good look strange much taste. to the general rows I recommend I hope to return and improve

I was in January with my wife, with a reservation, I had only eaten in this restaurant once and got away, but this day. that we would say, menu that we chose fried potatoes, pan with tomato and garlic, well, it is difficult to do it wrong, fries squids (goma,) I think they were (chicle,) fisherman (with a rare flavor,)

We went to celebrate a wedding anniversary with visiting family and told them how beautifully the food was presented and how we love it. We were seated by a friendly dark haired waitress and ordered 2 seafood paellas, one chicken paella , one chicken salad and a small shared starter of 4 croquettes. I went inside to order some cava on ice for the anniversary and it was delivered to the table without word or a smile from our new older blonde lady server. We tried to engage her with brief words and she neither smiled nor engaged but was perfunctory. After a previous mistake at this same restaurant we specified that we wanted the salad served with the other 3 mains at the same time. The salad is not on the starter menu. I must clarify here that we tried to explain that in Spanish and then also in English as our Spanish is rudimentary) The starter was served along with the salad again) and we explained again attempts in both languages fully accepting the error may be a language/miscommunication error but not understanding that it happens whether you mention it or not, as it’s not a starter) After eating and enjoying the starter I got the same salad back along with the other mains. I always have this lovely salad, presented so beautifully on a square glass plate. It looks and feels special. Today they have changed the presentation and I was so disappointed. It was so unappealing , just chucked on a white and brown plate. A large percentage of enjoyment of food is in the presentation and I was sadly let down. The salad consisted of the same food items but was not the same and I’m afraid makes me not want to return after many family and couples visits. It felt like a special meal previously and now it no longer does. I am also afraid the lack of warmth from the blonde older waitress spoiled the atmosphere slightly. The other mains were enjoyed. We did not fancy any of the dessert choices. The waitress was not really approachable enough or interested enough to complain about the presentation and I’m not sure I could have got the message across, nor did I want to sour the atmosphere of the celebration dinner. We will try one more time, but we won’t take family or friends unless it improves. We will endeavour to find a more special environment.
