Uma Uma - Guadalajara

This is one of my favorite places to have a great smoke. in any restaurant where they ramen, I order the tan men, and here they find the best, spicy and delicious. drinks are good, and for the entrance I had cream...croquettes with crabs, a joy.

I had read about japan for some weeks and decided that I really had to know how okonomiyaki was. a friend and I went to Uma uma to lunch a week, I had the okonomiyaki and was retired, she had the unagi don and. was thrilled. as others have said, the compact area can sometimes become somewhat loud, and the menu can be a cloudy price, but highly recommended for authenticity and general ambiente.

The appetizers are very tasty, it has a lot of them. ramen is also very tasty, as well as the other dishes we tried. Usually it is very competitive so that they have understood in, they need to wait to get a place. but. they can always make a reservation before their visit, on these wise they will not have a problem, but they must be very punctual. the place is small but cozy. in the end it is cheap and they can be full with a court.

I and my bf had gyoza, vege ramen and tonkatsu curry (deep fried, breaded pork with curry). except ramen which was still nothing special, the other dishes were quite terribble.. 1. the dough for gyoza(fried) was way too thick so it was easily breakable that...we had to eat the meat and dough separately. Dumpling with thick dough is not for frying maybe for steaming(depends on the types of dumplings) 2. Tonkatsu was so stiff that we couldn't even bite it off...never had had that stiff tonkatsu in my life. I guess they used wrong part of pork and of course, we couldn't finish it. Nevertheless, service was great..

I was very disappointed. in my honest review this did not meet the standard for authentic Japanese foods according to taste or consistency. I am very aware that others found it satisfying. not me! the price point was good, very affordable. only not what I have come to expect.
