I got the Steak Salad based on reviews, but it was fatty and gristle medium rare I should have sent it back for more cooking because the sear was good but the texture was tough and 'popping ' when chewed... GROSS! ... I was very disappointed and left steak pieces on the plate untouched, but I shouldn 't have made the effort to eat as much of it as I did thinking i just had bad spots.. nope, it was the whole thing bad cheap cut of meat . My wife got the chicken salad and it was 'OK '. Otherwise, the appetizers and desert were great. Our server was very attentive. Inside acoustics were very loud. Outside seating seemed better.
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here and had a wonderful evening! I had the wild onion fettuccine with clams and sausage, and words could not describe how delicate the pasta was and the sauce was lick your plate good. Mmmm. Also, yes, they can claim the true ownership of the best tiramisu. They added pistachio to the cream and it was so light and fluffy.... and they used decaf coffee! Even better.
We spent our anniversary weekend here in Glenwood Springs. We chose this restaurant since it had the most interesting choice of dishes. We did not have a reservation so the only place we could sit was the bar which we actually prefer. Brittany was an amazing bartender and Server, she was slammed, but still made time to talk to us. The food was incredible, they made concessions for my dietary restrictions. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
Jamie was so knowledgeable about all of the food here and all her recommendations were delicious! We had such a wonderful dinner with our kids (10,8 and would absolutely go back! (And try to sit in her section!!
I can honestly say that our party of 4 had one of the finest meals and best service of any restaurant where I've been in the last 10 years. After a selection of delicious appetizesr, including the hamachi crudo with the best cherry agua chile I've ever tasted, we feasted on the braised pork shoulder with corn grits and palisade peaches; hanger steak with fingerling potatoes, asparagus, black garlic, and ramp hollandaise; and pan roasted Rocky mountain trout, potato puree, baby carrots, kale, crunchy buttery croutons, capers, and herb butter. We topped it off with the most creamy, delicious butterscotch budino. This was as fine a meal as I can remember, along with excellent service from our server, Meghan. This was all enhanced by the view from our outdoor table. If you're in the area, don't miss this place!
