Taverna Del Guerrino - GREVE IN CHIANTI

We were at this weekend with our friend, it was incredible lunch with incredible services! we were served by niccolò, with its highest attention to all our request! Surely we come back to try this delicious dish again with friendly staff! Many thanks to il guerrino!

Nel cuore della splendida montagna, c'è un posto meraviglioso chiamato il guerrino. vanta una splendida terrazza panoramica sulle colline circostanti, un menu delizioso e ottimi vini, oltre a dolci stupendi. Grazie!

First meal we had here was decent. Nice antipasti including a very good tomato and burrata dish. Setting lovely. Pastas ok but not special. Second meal was for our anniversary plus friends. They’d forgotten about our booking and we were chucked out at a table at the back. Food and service poor. Peposo was well flavoured but very fatty. Really regretted not having booked earlier in advance for Castellana down the hill which is an infinitely better restaurant. Come for some antipasti in the sunshine at lunch but don’t waste your time for anything more substantial.

The first night we tried this nice place in Montefioralle they were fully booked. So the place is popular. No wonder, with that fabulous view of the vines surrounding. Good food and service, some gluten free alternatives but few vegan. And the chairs were terrible...

The view from the terrasse is stunning! I guess they rely on that only, since the quality of the food is not there, and the prices are too high. We were a bit disappointed.
