The room was clean and updated, the owners are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is attached to lodge and the food was enjoyable. The area is quaint and definitely has the small town feel, met so many people that were very friendly and eager to say hello,, Went to a winery and a concert by the lake. If you are looking for a budget friendly get away and not far from PA, NJ, NYC area check them out
The Breezy (Point) as it was. Once a bastion of Greenwood Lake. Now prides itself on being an exclusive dinning experience. That said the only thing exclusive about the restaurant is that you need a reservation to dine. I hope your an early bird because they close at 8. A far cry from the days of rage and fun I remember in the 90’s and early ‘00s. It’s a graveyard of retirees. Renovations left most tables with disjointed views of the water and the restaurant. I can’t help but feel as if I am living in someone else’s dream of a retirement home experience of a quiet easy going dinning experience (with retirement home quality food) Greenwood lake just isn’t that. Before the food I’ll start with the service. The waitress Heidi was pleasant and brought a sense of humor to the experience. But sadly that’s where the experience ends. Our beer arrived (König Ludwig Weßbier) with a lemon wedge... never have I experience that before neither in Germany or Austria. Apparently the bartender insisted it’s how it’s served (that’s falsch, trust me). Tyrollean (spelled incorrect in the menu) schnitzel with hunter sauce (actually called Jägersauce). The dish further disappoints as the sauce isn’t even a “hunter” sauce. It’s a tomato base??? The Pellegrino, $5 for small bottle... not even the typical 1.5L bottle. Don’t fall for that trick My wife ordered the “roasted veggie” with grilled shrimp. Enjoyable and tasteful up until the hair was discovered. Bottom line. This review was long overdue. “The Breeze” needs some work. Albeit this was in the summer (still a pandemic for some). I’m just saddened to see the fall of what was my favorite memory of Greenwood Lake.
Great location on the lake. Server was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Family friendly. Full bar. Great food and drinks. Outside seating.
Breathtaking views and food! Thank you for a memorable experience and all the best to your business during this trying time.
Hamburgers, cheesesteaks and sausage sandwiches were are meals after a day on the lake. Sausage sandwich definitely needed more sausage on it, we all were a bit taken back by the skimpyness of not even a full size small sausage. Its cut up into pieces, but if your more into having the bread, then it's a go. Food was ok. Nothing to wow you to go back for. However, not the worse either. Sitting outside overlooking the lake has been the seller here. Unfortunately, this place has never been the same since the original owner sold. Our martini's came in those small clear white plastic cups.. when asked for a glass to pour it into, we were told it was because of covid. Ok, we get it. Not the worse thing, but then again other places still using glass with no problem. Overall, I would probably go back for a sandwich with no high expectations and just enjoy being out..
