Shivani informed us that there would be a 45-minute wait for food. We hesitated but ultimately decided to wait. She quickly found us a table so we could have a drink while waiting. Shivani regularly checked on us and kept us updated on when our food would be ready. She was very pleasant and had a great attitude towards helping us. Thank you, Shivani!
We decided to dine at GBK before heading to a concert at the O2. Since it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was quite crowded, but we were willing to wait in line as other nearby restaurants were also busy. Once we were seated, we placed our order promptly and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, the burgers and sweet potato fries were cold, and we received the wrong side dish and sauce. We informed a staff member about the mistake, and it was corrected. While GBK has the potential to be better, we may consider giving it another try in the future. We felt it was important to share our experience in hopes of helping improve the service in the future.
My partner and I had a busy day in London and decided to grab a meal before heading home. We opted to try GBK, a burger joint we had been curious about for some time. We knew it might be a bit pricier, but we were looking for a proper sit-down meal with a good burger, and that's exactly what we got. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and seated by friendly staff. The menu had a good selection of burgers, and I ended up ordering the Mighty One, a massive 16oz burger! While you can order through an app at your table, we decided to order at the counter so my partner could inquire about gluten-free bun options. Ordering was a breeze, and I also enjoyed a pint of lager with my meal. We opted for the 3 sides deal, and all three sides were tasty - the chips were hot and the chicken pieces exceeded our expectations. We both went for large burgers, figuring we might as well go all out since we hadn't eaten all day, and we were not disappointed. Although the meal was on the pricier side, it was definitely worth it for the quality of food and overall dining experience. We usually eat healthy and don't indulge in burgers often, but this was one of the best burgers I've ever had - truly a Mighty One! I highly recommend stopping by GBK for a delicious burger treat.
Visited a GBK for the first time and was a little underwhelmed. Firstly, £8 for just a beef burger on its own is rather expensive. Although it was good quality and cooked how you wanted it. Sadly my fries were cold when they came out so I needed to ask for replacements (which was resolved quickly) The Lemon fresh and fizzy drink was very nice and free refills too. The other big let down was the toilets. They always say to judge a food venue on its toilets and in this case I would score it even lower. Both sinks in the gents had taps that were loose and coming away from the surface, they didn’t feel particularly clean either. Staff all seemed friendly though.
As a coeliac this was one of the saddest meals I've ever eaten... Started well with a separate NGCI menu. Ordered a chicken burger on its own as fries weren't GF this was reminded to us when we ordered just to make sure we understood. Feeling confident that they understand allergens and gluten free well. But when the burger came, it was a piece of chicken breast on the driest bun known to humans. No mayo, no salad, just the bread and the chicken. With a little wooden allergen skewer through the middle of it. I couldn't eat all of the bun I could feel it sucking all the moisture out of my body... As a coeliac I'm used to restrictions when dining out. But this was, without doubt, one of the saddest meals I've ever been served. The restaurant was nice, food served quite quickly even though they were busy, and the regular food all looked good. So if you don't need gluten free options I would still recommend this restaurant, but for gluten free I would not.
