This was our first time to eat here. The steaks are what they are known for and they are delicious! The Calamari appetizer was very delicious. The low point of our culinary experience was the desserts....Very Bland and obviously prepacked. If it is your first time here, take the time to read the back of the menu... it explains some of the rich history behind this building, the area and the restaurant.
I love going to the Peddler when I'm in the mood for Steak! Your food and service is always great. I love her salad bar too. Pretty cool atmosphere, to earth and nothing imagination. A couple of years ago, we had our wedding sample dinner at the toddler, and it was also perfect. Did Michelle have an explosion, the bartender at the last visit and we eat at the barha!
The best steak house I've ever been, and that's why I love going back. Had the 16oz hand cut steak and let me tell you it was cooked to perfection in every bite. Oh and the bacon wrapped fillet mignon was dying for and the salad bar is absolutely amazing as well as always, but the steak takes that?.
Full honest review below: I?m an avid reviewer and I am always watching to see how things are done etc in restaurants. I always leave detailed reviews and try to stick to facts alone. Parking was a nightmare but that also could mean good food?. To start, the waiting area (we were told for my party of 4 would be 25 minutes) which was nice with the fire and random artifacts hanging. Our table was ready and we were led by a kind hostess to the extended patio section. It began snowing but I believe the heat was not working as it was very cold while we sat at our table. The menu wasn?t filled with prices for the steak so good luck knowing ahead of time. The menu states you get to pick your size cut if meat which they do in front of you-I didn?t receive this. Paul, our server, was not personable in any way. He never asked if we had been here before just said ?y?all know what you want?. Seems to me for a place as expensive as the peddler it should have better, more personable, wait staff. Our food we received was not cooked correctly-ordered 15 oz Ribeye at medium, medium well, and another medium well. One steak was correct, mine thankfully, while the other 2 were extremely rare. They attempted the fix it but now the medium steak is now well done and charcoaled topped. In short, the wait staff, at least Paul, should take a class on delivering quality service at a higher class(well that?s what they think) since that wasn?t the case with the level of service we received. Additionally, I wouldn?t waste my money here. I?m sad we were so hyped to come here. Update to add: Melissa is the manager and she?s such a friendly and outgoing person. She came by and apologized immediately. She already knew to offer other items as we did not eat our steaks the 2nd time either. She was very caring and took time to listen to our concerns and took time to go back to the kitchen and talk with her cook staff as well as front staff. She gave us desserts to help give us some food as we didn?t want to wait for another steak to be cooked. She took items off our bill and even gave a gift card with her phone number so we could call when we were coming again. I can?t say enough about how great she was in making this right and wanting us to come back. She saved this experience for us and hope to return to try this place again.
