From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality from a staff member named Bradley and a cozy ambiance that set the stage for the meal. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the Bulgogi. This dish was an absolute revelation! The thinly sliced marinated beef was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The marinade was a delicious blend of savory and sweet, with just the right hint of smokiness. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness, and it left me craving for more. But that’s not all. The Honey Butter Chicken dish at Bulgogi was equally outstanding. The crispy, succulent chicken pieces were generously coated in a fantastic honey butter glaze that struck a delightful balance between sweet and savory. It was a true taste sensation, and we couldn’t get enough of it.The attentive and friendly staff at Bulgogi made the dining experience even more enjoyable, always ready to offer recommendations and ensure that everything was just right. In conclusion, if you’re in Greenville, SC, and looking for an authentic Korean dining experience, look no further than Bulgogi. Their Bulgogi and Honey Butter Chicken dishes are absolute must-tries, and I can’t wait to return for another visit. Bulgogi truly sets the standard for Korean cuisine in the area, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all food enthusiasts.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid friendly atmosphere
Said by a customer who is very familiar with Korean food and culture; I think overall the food menu could be much better. For example cheap vegetables are used and are used in bare amounts in a costly dish. They don't use the Korean vegetable selection I'm used to. Recently I was Disappointed twice, most recently with the bad sweet potato noodle that was recommended to me. The description looks like a normal noodle and vegetable dish. Well go figure! The noodles are doused with a very sweet sauce. I'd say like 250 g of carbs in the form of straight sugar at least. Worse than the sweetness you get from an extremely sweet bad dessert. I can recommend the stone bowl or bulgogi, just not this weird dish. At least warn the customer that's it's sweet.
Called right at 12 when the store opened and placed a to go order and was told it would be 40 minutes. Waited 20 minutes past the pickup time and watched everyone in the restaurant who was dining in get served while waiting. Atmosphere also seemed really religious which was kind of a let down. Store is closed on Sunday which should have been a red flag, they also sell what appear to be religious CDs at the desk. Don’t know how the food tastes but won’t be back.
Best Korean food in the upstate. Kimchi and cucumbers, which were unlimited, were amazing. We ordered the Gal Bi Rib, talk about juicy, tender, and delicious. The service that Mark provided, surpassed our expectations and made the experience so much more delightful! We will definitely be back.
Hands down, the worst and most overpriced Korean food I have ever had. Bulgogi beef tasted artificial and was over a bed of minimally cooked cabbage, the sauce was cloyingly sweet, the japchae was a mass of glue over a sprinkling of 10 tiny veggies. The Sampler should be avoided at all costs, including the fried wonton with bad cream cheese in the middle. You can get steamed dumplings, which is rare in local Korean restaurants and the rice was cooked nicely. Avoid the donuts, which are mini faux beignets literally buried in a sea of sugar/cinnamon dust. This was a takeout order and I picked up exactly at the time they told me. Threw almost everything away $60 including tip down the drain.
