Calypso Mama Caribbean Cafe

The food was very good!..Home cooked as if myself or mama made it. Friendly family atmosphere. I recommend anybody to stop in if they enjoy Caribbean food.

My family and I enoyed our visit to North Carolina A&T State University however the trip was highlighted by a dropportunity in at the Calypso Mama Caribbean Restaurant. Let me tell you the service was awesome and the food was out of this world. Had the oxtails, rice and peas with cabbage. Took home the Jerk Chicken and Caribbean shimp! Absolutely the best Caribbean shimp recipe anywhere including Jamaica!

The food was really good, it was worth the drive from Winston-Salem.

Wow! My first time going I decided to order the pepper shrimp it was delicious...the heat was just right! I will definitely be back Thursday to try the red snapper. I only wish it came with two sides instead of one like some plantains or something.

My husband and I decided to get lunch and let me tell you we were both blown away. We both decided to get the curry chicken and peas and rice. While he got cabbage and I got mac as a side. The food is very authentic and AMAZING!! We will definitely be back!!
