Steamed chicken was soft and full of flavor. The ginger scallion sauce wonderfully accentuates the chicken. Lobster was soft and chewy. Sticky rice was chewy. Flounder was my favorite. Super soft and paired wonderfully with soy sauce. Spare ribs were crisp with the sweet and sourness from the plum sauce. Just be careful dried plums were used for the sauce and the pits from the dried plums are mixed with the ribs. We also ordered the cilantro and mixed beef soup which can serve about 6 people/bowls which was delicious. I loved how this restaurant also serves free red bean soup for dessert as well as oranges.
Line out the door on a nice Sunday afternoon. The place was chaos and somehow it worked. Ladies pushing around their carts and guys flying by.We ordered the classics. All were well made. Just about what I expected. Good spot to get the that Dim Sum itch scratched. Will go back. They are recommended!
This location has been changing owners quite a few times the last 10 yrs but I think Green Lake is here to stay. We've been to their sister restaurant, West Lake in Matawan, so we gave it a try and enjoyed it. We've come here a few times for dim sums as well as dinner, both delicious! Due to the proximity, we can't help to compare them with Canton Palace in Somerville. I would say Canton Palace is still my favorite dim sum place with excellent food and service while dinner here is more reasonable priced. The place is very spacious so it's great for large parties.
The local place to go for Dim Sum. Sunday lunch was extremely busy but well worth the wait. Highly recommend the pork buns and soup dumplings when they pass your table.
