Belton Woods - Grantham

Really nice experience. eating was great, we all really enjoyed our meal and service was excellent.

Quality of food was not a good as hoped. Sandwiches and cakes dry. Scones dry and shop bought.

The food was good, although I suspect some dishes were from frozen, no a la carte menu just so not a lot of choice. All the staff were great, efficient, friendly and helpful.

Very disappointed. We booked afternoon tea as a birthday present for my 88 yr old mother. In the booking I asked that maybe you could do something special for her. I wasn’t expecting balloons and a fanfare, but just a nice little touch to mark the day would have been good. We got nothing, not a mention, nothing. The food was fine but waiting service was terrible. He never spoke to us apart from bare basics, and was not attentive at all, and considering we were the only ones there in the dining room, we felt quite neglected and undervalued.

Dinner was very good. Nicely cooked and presented. It was however, very noisy and had the ambiance of a fast food restaurant. Breakfast was ok but needed to be warmer. The staff were excellent both at reception, in the spa and the waiting staff were outstanding.
