We went around 6:00pm on a Friday night and when we arrived we realized it was the 2nd night of the Montreal Canadians playing NY in the playoff series. Most tables were reserved and when we were asked if we had reservations and said no, it was not problem they found us a spot for two. The service we received was in English and the food was served fast and was hot! We order the ribs with sides. Every thing was great and we left before the game started, as we can only imagine that place went wild that night with the Canadians winning in overtime. We will be back.
Beautiful atmosphere, rustic-indutriel decor quite well successful. The smell of smoke and meat is well present and opens the apetit. The chickens with the squirrel pork, the ribs lifted and the duck were excellent...but my ruben sandwich was small enough and had almost no meat, moreover, it looked more like a grilled cheese, we even asked the waitress if there was an error! Another small flat, parking...the resto was half full but the stationemet was spitting and we had to park 2 blocks from the resto and walk pretty badly! the choice of beer is limited, a few local micro choices would be very well seen and especially a point that would ensure that one would return often!
Plenty of choice on menu, good French fries, quick service, clean Deep fried pickles with a hint of kook aid really delicious, have had deep fried pickles at several places but these are my favorite
American bbq resto that is to try absolutely! generous portions, you're gonna end up eating the belly full, that's certain. The ribs are the biggest I've ever seen even the little one is fat even if there are three bones. the beef beef berisket very tender and delicious. for what is sauce unlike bbq in the United States there is not an industrial amount of sauce on the meat. Fries are real steps of mcdo type fries. For the service it is excellent, even the owner or manager came to our table to talk about the menu and answer our questions.
After several visits to this restaurant, I must say that I am impressed every time. The food is surprising, prepared in original way, with lots of meats, flavors (smoke among others). specials of the noon offered at aubaine prices. Anyway, my new heart blow at granby. Not for vegetarians!
