The Park Cafe - Goulburn

On Friday the 2nd June my daughter and I decided to grab a bite to eat at "The Park Cafe" in Goulburn. Whilst placing my order at the counter my daughter was approached by one of the waiting staff (female with a lip piercing) and was questioned sarcastically and in a patronising manner if she had placed an order? We were in there maybe 5 mins deciding what to have. Unfortunately we never go to have our meal as I cancelled the order. Such a shame that there are people working in hospitality industry that aren't hospitable! I do want to mention that the young man who took my order was very pleasant and polite.

Eggs Benedict great but slightly under cooked, pleasant staff, served a hot chocolate instead of chai, apparently that's what they are being provided - said 3 people have complained about it before, perhaps change brand of chai then? Overall a positive experience, was very busy by the time we left and a bit noisy and clearly very popular

Had the bolognese pasta looked nice but tasted uninspired where's the fresh herbs or even just a bit extra spice to give the "sauce" some flavour and freshness? ...coffee was decent but not outstanding...service was a bit weak no eye contact when delivering food which I feel is a real no-no...and some seating areas a literally right next to toilet entrances!! i mean put a wooden divider there or something ...place has poetential just boosts your standards take pride in your work every day and enjoy serving good fresh food and coffee that you are proud of its not that hard but its frustrating for customer like me to have be constantly let down!!

We had breakfast here on our stop over on our Melbourne-Sydney trip. We were very impressed with the modern atmosphere and stylish design. Everything was neat and clean. Amenities impressive. The staff were extremely welcoming, and particularly friendly with our young children. The food was fresh and tasty. Generous portions. Coffee was fantastic for a country town, but being from the city it didn't blow me away. The only downfall is a lack of a children's breakfast menu.

Nicest looking coffee shop in town, and taste good too. I'm not a fan of seeing cling wrap covering the fresh food, makes me think it is not fresh.
