Goulburn Soldiers Club

A nice friendly club that supports local interest groups. Well appointed and you will be made to fell welcome even if you are just visiting.

I was here to see some acts during the Australian Blues Music Festival.

Four of us (travellers from some distance) sat down for lunch today ordering schnitzel, fish & chips, lambs fry and salmon patties.The schnitzel came out heart shaped and with the texture a bit mushy unsure if it was breast meat or reconstituted or a frozen item cooked as required. The fish was battered but not cooked throughout and the lambs fry tasteless. Salmon patties got the tick of approval. I complained to the waiter about the fish which could not be eaten but after staying at the table another 20 minutes whilst having a drink, received no feedback from the kitchen or an apology. Not a place I would recommend for a meal.

Had dinner, which was fabulous. Great menu with lots of choices. Fresh and tasty, but reasonably priced.

While staying in Goulburn overnight we went to the Club for dinner. What a great surprise, first class food at affordable prices. The meals were quick and so tasty and satisfying. A definite must for future stays in Goulburn
