The best restaurant I've been to in a long time, could not fault a thing , the food was all Top quality , I expecially liked the garlic prawns with apple cider, the scolips , lamb shoulder and brussel sprouts,
On a Saturday night, this is a really busy place. So make sure you make a reservation. Even though this is a busy place, the host will greet you and give you a status update on table availability. Social Eating House Bar has a great vibe and atmosphere! I ordered entree, main and dessert from the specials board and also food from the menu. The food was amazing! The crispy pan fried snapper fish with risotto, prawn and prawn bisque, delicious! The zucchini flower was sweet and crispy! The side dish of roasted cauliflower was a great choice. Make sure you have room for dessert, the special white chocolate and coconut panacotta with lychee sorbet with violet jelly was refreshing and amazing. Very strong lychee flavors. The stand out dessert was the licorice mousse with burnt pineapple! Very unique and if you love licorice flavors, this in the one you must try! Overall it was a great dining experience!
A great quality meal, I ate here with some friends after just getting back in town. It's def not the cheapest place however the food is very tasty and is justified, the menu is very detailed with some new style cuisine, it is on par with restaurants in LA.
This was, by far, our best meal in Australia. We were in Broadbeach for a conference after spending a few days in Sydney, so our points of reference for comparison are Rockpool, Mr. Wong, Aria, and others. Social belongs in the same class as these high end establishments. We started with a couple selections from the creative cocktail menu. I should have written down the names, but they were very nuanced. We followed up with the fish tartare on a rice cracker, scallops on the half shell, fried whiting, waygu beef (a gift from the chef/owner), pork belly confit, lamb rib, and two desserts. The stars were the waygu and the nitro raspberry cheesecake dessert: works of visual art and downright delicious. We sat at the chef's counter, so we got to observe the great teamwork and collaboration of the kitchen team. Service was very good: you can tell people like their jobs here! Thanks for the highlight of our trip.
