$3 steaks... $3 sides... $2 sauces.... surprisingly the steaks are great.... not the most fancy of places.. but a great place to duck into for a cheap and cheerful feed...value for money indeed.
I recently dined at the Dining Room at the Railway Hotel with family and friends on a Friday evening. The dining room was tastefully decorated and had a ramp for wheelchair access, making it easy to access the bar, food ordering, and toilets. The drinks were reasonably priced and the staff was attentive. The menu offered a great selection of traditional pub grub, with large serving sizes and perfectly cooked meals. Our party enjoyed dishes such as steak, bangers and mash, garlic prawns, and beer battered whiting fillets, all of which were delicious. We also had room for dessert and tried the Sticky Date Pudding, Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake, and Chocolate Mud Cake, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed. The coffee from the espresso machine was also good. Overall, the food was above average pub grub and the evening was cheap and cheerful. The total bill for dinner for 5 with drinks came out to a little over $100, which was great value for money. I highly recommend giving this place a try for a satisfying dining experience.
I noticed a substantial difference in my treatment as well as allies when attending this venue. I use to generally eat three meals of a week at this vendor but will not step foot in due to 2 visits I had with work colleagues. A very well grown man shouldn't be rolling his eyes on the job it's a miserable atmosphere when he is in. As well as the homeless like that come I'm not sure if the RSA standards can be well regarded in order to remove sods that ruin the area in the evening
We visited this place for a beer and some conversation, which we had. However, when the bartender asked what I wanted, I inquired about Heineken 3. He promptly retrieved a bottle, opened it, and then asked if there was anything else. I couldn't help but joke that perhaps I needed better hearing. While the beer wasn't terrible, it wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Additionally, the overall atmosphere of the place leaned more towards shabby than pleasant.
