I thought the dish was flavorless with a lack of sauce. The vegetables seemed to be boiled and thrown on top, and the curry sauce was overly salty. I only ate half of it because I didn't enjoy the taste. I would recommend avoiding this dish.
I had the chicken teriyaki meal for AUS$10.80 (approximately £6) and it was excellent. The spring rolls were also very good. I would definitely come back, as it was great value for the price!
$5 fried rice with a very tasty shumai dumpling as an entree. Quick, friendly service, tidy servery... what’s to complain about? Look it’s just a food court hole in the wall, but they do it well.
I must admit I have not tried their sushi. So my focus is just the $5 lunch special: curry, teriyaki chicken and rice etc. Some of the other reviews here are pretty tough because its hard for anyone these days to put up a reasonable meal for 5 bucks. Its filling, rice was fresh and fluffy, chicken cooked today and not reheated. Pretty solid effort I reckon. Better then the KFC or McDonalds, just a few shops away. No, its not gourmet, its cheap and cheerful, good sized lunch special. Please don't make it smaller, Genki!
