We sat on the patio with our daughter, and were lucky to get in before the Sunday-evening crowd (it was also the Celtic festival, so possibly busier than usual?).Staff were very friendly and accommodating when our young daughter's cheese pizza was deemed inedible due to a dusting of parmesan, and had it replaced quickly. Did not occur to us to ask what type of cheese would be on a plain cheese pizza! My husband and I had local perch fish & chips and local perch tacos. Both were enjoyed. Staff were friendly, if very busy. Would recommend for a casual meal.
Service was slow, we are non alcohol drinkers and that seems to affect service here. Asked for certain considerations for my meal due to my eating restrictions, which were ignored. When I mentioned it to the server she said the kitchen was probably to busy to be bothered, " we should come at a quieter time". Portion size was very small compared to other times. Overall very disappointed
We ate outside on the patio with a pleasant view. We enjoyed the food and the friendly service. The best part was the WONDERFUL SINGER!
Went out on the patio to have appetizer and drinks and watch a live band. Great evening in the summer.
We are from Goderich and all the years growing up, the Park House was THE PLACE to eat out. I never understood it then and I still don't understand why this place is packed. we ended up here to be close to the beach to take my elderly mom down before the sunset. We didn't realize we could do that between the time we ordered and when our appetizer arrived. We should have known it was going to be a wait when it took a hostess at least 10 to 15 minutes before heeven attempted to deal with the line up waiting to be seated so shame on us I suppose. Ultimately we could have seen the sunset twice in the time it took for us to be served-like 90 minutes or more. Regardless someone said the owner of this place also owns the restaurant on the beach but that is not possible. The food here is not nearly as good. My nachos were dry but interesting as the amount of lettuce red onion tomato and peppers was higher than average and cheese was in globs with lots of untouched chips underneath. Anyway the spinach and cheese quesadillas have too much tomato and perhaps opt for the chicken ones instead. They were not cheesy at all either. Salsa appears to be Old El Paso from a jar I think. My 87 year old mother liked the light batter on her 1 piece of pollock but the homemade beef barley soup was a complete miss and she ate so little of it she didn't get her money's worth out of that side . My other daughter had nothing to say about her small Greek salad but it didn't inspire anyone which is probably no different than his restaurant. For my money I would stick to the standards in town which is the Beach Station or West Street Willys.
