Rita's Italian Ice Frozen Custard

This place is excellent! They change their ice flavors slightly every day but the ones we ordered are apparently there most of the time. I ordered a Mango Gelati which is Italian ice layered in with their frozen custard. Their frozen custard deserves a sentence of its own in this review. It is the most unique, smoothest, most delicious frozen custard I think I've ever had anywhere. I like mango, so the ice was great as well and paired very nicely. My wife ordered the four ices with custard on top as pictured (sorry it's smashed, I had a lid on it). Her ice flavors were: Lemon, Cherry Limade, Pumpkin Pie Cream, and Mango, I believe. I sampled all of them and they were all good. The price is a little more than a scoop at traditional ice cream shop, but in my opinion, well worth it! I got great service and a toothsome treat. I'm not sponsored or anything, I just really liked the place... Try something new, go to Rita's. ????????

They are not selling frozen custard! Their business is very misleading. The product they sell is the exact same thing that Costco sells in its food court. This is soft serve ice cream and has nothing to do with frozen custard. If you ate frozen custard once in your life, you know that it is very dense and it is served with hard plastic spoons so you can scoop it. They gave me a flimsy thin plastic spoon and that moment i know i was not getting frozen custard. This business is doing false advertisement, misleading people and the ice cream soft serve they sell is not frozen custard. In Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale and near by areas, your best bet is Culver's if you are looking to eat *real frozen custard*. Again, they are selling soft serve ice cream, not frozen custard! Huge disappointment.

Went to Rita's for the first time. I got a small Oreo milkshake and it was great. There's lots of options to choose from on the menu. I went on a Monday afternoon when it wasn't crowded and got in and out fast. Parking is limited since it shares locations with some medical facilities. There also aren't many places to sit and eat for those that might want to. When I went, there was only one person working which could become an issue when it's packed. But for my time there I had no complaints and would recommend.

Rita?s is amazing. Everything there is great! Going there a long time NEVER A PROBLEM UNTIL TODAY?.! Went to union hills location, I did not have to wait in any line. I ordered a large half watermelon half lemonItalian ice and asked for it to be topped with a swirl of gelato on top. The total was $13.00! I asked why so much the girl behind the counter charged me for a separate gelati large one! .. told her cancel the gelati, Rita?s normally will top with a swirl of gelato free. The girl couldn?t care less , didn?t offer an apology and was almost rude.

The brownies I received were hard and cold, and they tasted a bit stale. When I ordered a brownie sundae, they didn't take the time to warm it up, which is something most ice cream shops do. The ice cream itself was good, but overall, I don't think it's worth the price they're charging. However, I suppose that's the case with many places nowadays. To the management, please don't apologize—just aim for better quality! That's all I ask.
