The Gilbert House

Nice little place. My husband ordered the sharp chorizo omelette (not shown). Before I was able to get a picture, he was already in his food. He just wished it was a bigger service. Food was overall good and great customer service. Just a star less because the cinnamon roll was kind of dry. It wasn't as fresh as I hoped.

Eating is good. The staff is friendly. Come 9 and don't have to wait long. The portion size is enough to make you full, but not overly filled.

The service was particularly good. The staff is happy here. There must be a solid management team. The breakfast was excellent. I had the country fried steak, which is served over two biscuits. The sausage gravy was right on. I tried some of the corned beef hash too. It was great.

The food was not bad. I enjoyed the three meat scramble. It came with bacon, sausage, and ham, a side of spices cooked potatoes, and wheat bread. The only thing that needed improvement was the service. Our friend got their pancakes, but didn't have syrup. When we tried to get our waiter to help us they never showed up. So we had to try and get another waiters attention to get syrup. It probably wasn't the biggest deal, for some customers this can be a huge thing. Hopefully the next time we eat there it will be a better experience. ;

Cute little spot in the heart of Gilbert.. My fiancee and I love having early breakfasts especially places that have outdoor seating. The food was good. I ordered the quiche and it was delightful. The coffee was nice and strong, not watered down, whichis a preference of mine. The staff was friendly and kind. Absolutely a fave of ours.
