My partner is gluten intolerant and has been advised only to eat sourdough. Half way through our meals we discovered the bread didn't seem right and asked the waitress if it was actually sourdough due to his allergies which is how we found out she'd done the switch. We then couldn't finish the meal, no refund was offered and he spent the rest of the afternoon violently I'll. Despite the allergy altercation, I was served the worst poached eggs I've ever had. Watery and undercooked. Extremely dissapointed. Would not return.
A lovely little cafe on the edge of Geelong with outdoor and indoor seating. Conscientiously run by the team. I've only ever had one ad coffee from here and if I had the time I am sure they would have fixed it. I love the coffee extras ... Plungers and by cup drip holders. At Easter they had hot cross buns very reasonably priced. The cakes and biscuits I have bought thus far have been lovely to eat with my coffee.
Visited for Sunday brunch & ordered poached eggs with avocado, Turkish bread & tomato & feta salsa. Eggs were drastically undercooked-whites were clear & yolks of my partner's dish were broken on delivery. This left a terrible 'eggy' taste in our mouths all day. The avocado had bits of the pit & blemishes left in it & the raw red onion & tomato & strong feta cheese were covered with an overpowering balsamic vinegar. I have never had a worse breakfast-you can have a much better meal at home.
Being well located on the edge of Geelong's Little Malop Street Mall (Yarra Street side) provides easy pedestrian access to this little gem of a cafe. Excellent coffee and super friendly and welcoming service has resulted in each of our visits being very enjoyable. Options are quite limited (sandwiches, rolls, slices, muffins etc) but prices are reasonable and the food is fresh and tasty. We love reading the newspapers and magazines and the atmosphere is usually busy (especially takeaways) but its also relaxed. Highly recommended for a light lunch and great coffee.
As a tourist i enjoyed the local flavor of this coffee shop. service was quick and friendly and coffee tasted great. nice assortment of breakfast and lunch eats.
