Gatineau Pizza

I love pizza and was looking for different places to try good pizzaWell I found this little gem in Gatineau.

Gatineau Pizza has won awards for being the best pizza in GatineauSince 1998 I eat here.

We were in Ottawa and heading over to Gatineau and I announced that "I would like pizza." My better half Googled "Best Pizza in Gatineau" and this spot came up.Gatineau is a bit spread out, so bring your GPS to make sure you find the restaurant, which looks to be in a re-modeled house. It was Canada Day at about 6:30 PM and the place was busy, but not jammed.Our server was just wonderful...and she was the only person working the nine occupied tables in the room...and was doing a great job! And such a sweet person.We ordered simply -- a large with pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper. What arrived made my eyes widen. Starting at the bottom, it appeared the layers were crust, cheese, toppings, more cheese, more toppings. I wish I'd brought a ruler to measure its thickness. There were eight slices, but we only managed to polish off five of them. The rest came home. It was so good!Now, it's worth noting that it was not inexpensive. Two pops and this pizza cost $40.21 with tip...but I'd go back again in a heartbeat.

On Sunday afternoon, we stopped at Gatineau Pizza for diner.As usual, the service was excellent, the food good and ample and of very good quality for the price. Their specialty is pizza. So if you go, you gotta try it. They do serve other dishes with as much quality and quantity as with their pizzas. Warning, their pizzas are thick with meat, vegetables, lots of cheese. Very hardy that often a piece or two of a small pizza are sufficient for a meal, that you take out the rest for another meal at home. And, yes, they are more expensive and well worth it, compare to the usual run-of-the-mill paper thin pizza sold by other restaurant.None compare to Gatineau Pizza.Highly recommend this restaurant. Highly recommend the pizza!I dare you to try it at least once.

Pizza gatineau doesn't have an equal in outaouais! everything you order will satisfy you but pizza is really the best in town! She's really worth it!
