Elyo Shawarma - Gatineau

Great shawarma if you ever visit Gatineau you should eat there even there .. stuff where very friendly they speak English and French and Arabic I think I highly recommended super delicious

Friendly owner but the chicken sandwich were average and bread a bit dry, its of but not the best i taste for far.

I use to go to this place often but the food quality has gone down dramatically. I had a chicken shawarma plate, the potatoes tasted like they were from yesterday they were very dry and all shrivelled up. The chicken was very dry as well and the pickled vegetables had no crisp and had probably been there for a while. I was not able to finish my plate, I took it home to my girlfriend and she could not eat it neither.

We just came back from the restaurant me and my wife and it was VERY FRESH AND GOOD. When we arrived the cook was cleaning the roaster's broiler and counter keeping it clean as it should and everywhere looked clean. Then we ordered 2 chicken plates cheaper than anywhere else (10$ and we got 2 full orders of chicken Shawarma. The chicken was well cooked but not dry, the potatoes were cooked to perfection, moist inside and crispy outside with good spices on it. There was good homemade Tabouleh and basic salad and tomatoes. Then the Hummus tasted better than anywhere else, full of taste and the garlic sauce was not too spicy. the only thing I didn't like was the plastic fork, I will bring my own next time. I don't go out for atmosphere or to be seen, we go out to eat and that is the place to eat for GOOD SHAWARMA.

Among many shawarma restaurants Elyo Shawarma is really good. The chicken and meat are always fresh. The garlic and hummus are tasty and the portions are very descent. The combo platter can feed 2-3 people
