Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Garner

The service was great, and the wait wasn't too long. The restaurant was clean and immaculate. I tried the mango berry Cosmo smoothie, and it was delicious! I was able to dine and leave quickly.

I placed a delivery order at this restaurant. I asked them to make my smoothie thick because it was being delivered, but they assured me it was already thick. However, when I went to pick it up, I had to wait for about 15 minutes, even though I was less than a mile away. Unfortunately, my smoothie was not thick like I wanted - it was watery, more like a juice. The food was good, though.

I would like to give this restaurant a zero rating. I will not be dining here again and would advise others against it if they are looking for good customer service. It is a six-minute drive from Garner and not worth the trip for the service. I enjoy Tropical Smoothie and the food and smoothies are usually great, but the customer service at this location is awful. Yesterday, I had a problem with the person who claimed to be the manager when I asked for a male. She was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

I was not aware that Tropical Smoothie was doing orders inside. They recently only took orders online vs. in person and customers had to just pick it up. Anyway, I called to place my order over the phone because the website was never user friendly (just generally at any of them) and I could never make my special request to get plant based meat anywhere. The person I spoke to was not professional. The person just hung up instead of actually saying bye, (she was not friendly at all). The location is not really in a great spot, but I walked in and normally I would see signs to pick up orders. There were no signs. Instead I waited in line to ask, and the girl seemed hesitant in showing me where my order was located; but she did walk me over to it and it was hidden in the corner of a square cubby. There was no way I could have seen that, especially with it being my first time at that location. I have had my fair share of bad experiences with hospitality at Tropical Smoothies, but it is safe to say I will never be visiting that one anymore.
