I ordered a drink, the rest of our party simply wanted water. After that interaction, we never saw him again. Despite trying to get drinks from other servers (not the men bringing over meats) it was almost impossible to get some water. I btw, never got the drink I ordered. So there we were eating salty meats with nothing to drink. None of us were pleased. At the salad bar, I saw people touching food, placing it on their plates and then putting it back to where other customers were selecting. My son has celiac and asked to confirm what was and wasn't gluten free. We received plenty of incorrect information and the people who said they would get us an answer simply disappeared. We have eaten at Fogo de Chao at various locations. The Long Island location was a terrible disappointment.
The food was delicious as expected because I have been to other locations. However, the service received in Long Island was terrible. Two
Tables added since December which made it feel more cramped than I prefer. Meat was delicious but salty for my taste. Less gaucho visits we had to ask for lamb and for servers to return. No sausage or chicken was offered. It was delicious but more enjoyable in December. Even **** Mary was different and bleck. Tres Leche was delish.
The place is clean, servers are respectful and pleasant. Steak is great. Salad bar is awesome.
The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We went for my son’s 16th birthday, and he loved it!
