Mel's Blueplate Diner - Galveston

Hands down the best burgers and fries and hand dipped onions rings on the island! Add to the amazing customer service that the girls offer and you have a great meal! The prices are also amazing, especially for the island!

Try this place for lunch and strongly recommend if you want freshly prepared food. We had a cheeseburger and a shrimp poboy with fries and everything was excellent. You also have a daily special that we can try next time. This place has great food for very cheap prices for Galveston. We're coming back!

That was our first visit to Mel's. The double meat of Hamburger Spezial was incredible. It was huge and it was the best burgers and pommes I ever tasted. Requisite to the whole staff, especially Rebecca. Can't wait to try anything else! TLow 7/19/21

I wouldn't normally go to a convenience store for lunch, but the reviews drew me in and I wasn't disappointed. Everything was made to order, the burger was huge and so tasty. I will be returning soon.
