They continue to sell amazing hot cider doughnuts and and hot and cold cider drinks right on site. Also, there’s the “adult only” beverages which are sized just right for an afternoon family adventure.
Really cute orchard for your annual fall apple picking! We bought a bag for $20, which I believe is the smallest bag for 2 people and we got about 14 apples out of it. They have 6 or 7 different types of apples and a large orchard! They even have pumpkins and a little market with squash/ jams/ apple cider. It was a great New England fall activity. We went during the week and it wasn't very busy at all which was nice. Also- we wanted to try the cider flight but found out they're only open on the weekends.
This orchard is so cute. As soon as you get there you walk up to the shed where you pay for your bag and the staff member tells you exactly where to go. I just went by myself on a Friday morning and it was so nice and relaxing. The apples ate delicious!
We had an amazing time picking apples and nectarines. The fruit right off the tree is to die for. There is nothing better. They had a tractor to transport you around and you could even cut down your own flowers.I would recommend to anyone, 10/10.The prices are a little high but definitely worth it.
Although I have been coming to Holmberg 's every year for years, after this last visit, I won 't be returning. First, the prices have been increasing and are now exorbitant, in my opinion. If you are picking with a family or friends, get ready to pay a small fortune. Second, new rules, which have been tightening for years, state that every person admitted to the orchard must purchase a small bag, or be forced to purchase a large, family bag. They have long done away with permitting customers to bring their own containers, which for me ensured unbruised fruit, another inconvenience that I have just been dealing with. Lastly, and most importantly, the trip is no longer fun. Increased policing of the orchard is out of control, and honestly just embarrassing. At this visit, after wandering into an unauthorized area, I was detained by a patrolling employee on a tractor who escorted me away like a prisoner. I 'm sorry, but that 's the last straw. I suppose that Holmberg 's is focused on improving efficiency and their bottom line, but they 're turning off customers in the process. What used to be a nice family outing has turned into a money grab; they 're insensitive to the customer and to their own product. For these reasons, I no longer recommend them to anyone.
