What a nice tasty bite. German local kitchen mixed with Italian kitchen. fine wines and local spirits. we had the “surprise dinner” where they don’t know the dishes. each of them was an absolute joy. especially the white tomato soup and the bearish gnochi.

We had a 3 course surprise menu, didn't take the wine menu but chose the wine ourself, it was superb, The Waiter was very observant, serving and filling our glasses.

The restaurant experience began with a small ´pre-starter´ from the chef, a tasty cucumber mousse topped with a few prawns. My husband chose prawn soup and whole fried plaice with prawn filling, both dishes were very good. I chose a set 3-course meny with two...servings of duck (confit of duck as starter followed by perfectly cooked duck breast). The problem was that the otherwise very attentive waitress forgot to serve my dessert (espresso panna cotta) and never asked whether we'd like coffee.

The food was good though not at the gourmet level. Our waiter was fluent in English and German and with a lovely sense of humour. All waiters wear masks, and guests are required to wear masks when picking food at the buffet. Breakfast was splendid...with a wide range of food to choose from
