Pizzeria Volare - Friedrichshafen

Good place to have a little lunch before the flight. pizzeria is at the airport, service is quite fast and efficient.

On the 19th juni, after the landing at the bottom sea airport, I asked for a small ziploc bag from ice to keep milk cold for my baby and the male barkeeper calculated me 5 euro. this is more than twice as expensive as two espressos. What a bleeding!

We visited this restaurant whilst waiting for our flight to the UK. I would like to be writing a review about the fabulous food. We paid the Italian waiter via the card machine behind the desk. By the time our flight landed in the UK...someone had tried to make multiple purchases for Canada Goose jackets. Luckily the bank recognised the transactions were fraudulent. I remember having a cigarette after paying and the waiter talking to his friends who were sat outside. I believe he had passed on my card details. We shall be contacting the authorities and the airport.

The only restaurant in this small airport but they do not abuse this position. 26 pasta dishes under 10 euros and 20 large pizza choices also under 10 euros with 5 more under 12 euros March 2017 about 6 meat and 6 fish dishes too...costing more butbstill reasonably priced. Service friendly and in the main quite fast. Tables inside and out.

The zuppa di pomodoro was excellent, so was the minestrone with fresh vegetables, and the thin-crust pizza was delicious! Italian is spoken loud and clear in the kitchen always reassuring, when it comes to Italian pizzerias... The portions were very healthy: we ended up...sharing both our soup and our pizza. Their prices are very fair they also offer a lunch special for 6 euros). The service was particularly friendly; they made us feel at home, Italian style. In addition, they will let you sit there for hours whether you just want to read a book , work on your laptop or write post cards over a cup of espresso coffee ... and there is seating outside, which is a real treat when the sun is out. Another bonus is that they will offer you a two-hour parking voucher which they validate before you leave the premises, as long as you park your car at one of the two parking lots located in front of the restaurant and ...have a cup of coffee.
