Przekaż informację zwrotnąTonight I met my cousin for dinner and drinks at this new gem of a place. Located on Main St in Fremont, NE, this restaurant is truly a fine dining experience in the heart of this small town. With multiple courses and a menu that changes almost daily you?re in for a surprise when you arrive (check their Facebook or Instagram for menu updates). We started with a bottle of pinot grigio along with the salmon and halibut rillettes appetizer. Normally this spread comes with slices of baguette but we requested vegetables instead. And thank goodness or we would have been extremely full! This appetizer was incredible. The salmon flavor was heightened by the shallot marmalade and dill. If you love salmon, definitely get this app. For our main dishes, my cousin ordered the second course of green tomato papardelle pasta and the third course of pan seared duck with lemon risotto and roasted carrots. I opted for the filet mignon with pommes purée, asparagus, and nitro hollandaise. I didn?t try the pasta, but but both of our main entrees were out of this world. The duck was cooked perfectly, as were the roasted carrots. My favorite, however, was my filet. The chef brought out the nitro hollandaise and plated it in front of me. The filet cut like butter and tasted like absolute perfection with the hollandaise. It?s been awhile since I?ve had such a good cut of meat. Our service was incredible, the food was to die for, and the ambience of the space really makes it a gem in this small town. I would highly recommend the drive to Fremont for a unique, locally-owned, elevated foodie experience.
Stunning. I knew the food to be delicious, but it was also beautiful. The menu changes based on what protein and produce are available fresh. The dishes sway in a creative direction with a focus on layered flavor, fresh and satisfying. My favorite dish at the Alto, to date, is tagliatelle Bolognese. The homemade noodles sauce that tastes like it?s been cooking all day and platted in an eye pleasing fashion. I?ve also had the truffle gnocchi with shaved truffles. It was so delicious. The dishes are positively unmatched for flavor. The chef is conscious of the farm-to-table concept, sourcing produce, meats, poultry and dairy products almost exclusively from the Chef?s personal contacts in the industry. Having the menu change is so inviting and brings an element of surprise to diners like me. Fremont NEBRASKA is so fortunate to have this restaurant as an option. Update: I have a new favorite! Cavatelli!!!
Had takeout and 1st time trying place out. The food was bland food looked better then what it tasted. Service from phone and arriving I did like a lot reason why I gave a 3 stars. The place is super cute though. The waitress was super friendly which is why I Will give it another shot next time maybe next time will be better. The chicken parm didn?t have much flavor to it but the spaghetti was little better. The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo needed more sauce since the noodles didn?t have much flavor to them. The Chicken Fett was way smaller portioned then chicken parm.
We had a reservation at 7 on Saturday, December 5th. We walked in to an empty restaurant. People of Fremont and people of Omaha. Run here and give your business to this small town gem to keep a unique and also amazing place open. Our server was extraordinary and had the best personality. Friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. The bartender was equally friendly and performed her job with the upmost professionalism and also was a super sweet gal. Absolutely LOVED the service here. We started with the fried mozz. They could of used some additional time in the fryer to hold the breading together however, the mozzarella used was amazing and the pesto and pomodora sauce were a fantastic pairing. My b/f had a midori sour and the recipe was excellent. Not overly sweet, just right. His fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was rich and worthy in its own right. It wasn?t Lo Sole Mio fettuccine Alfredo but it was equally impressive and unique and I would order it again. I had The Nona and although I wouldn?t order that one again, it was a beautiful dish. The ricotta, pomodoro sauce, and basil were perfect together and nothing outshined the other. I want to try something richer and more complex next time but this dish is made extremely well although simple in characteristic. My limoncello martini was hands down the best I ever had. Sweet, sexy, and just delicious. We had a desert but it just wasn?t up to par with everything else we had. I will go again and I encourage everyone in Fremont to keep this gem alive. I traveled from Omaha to visit and I can only hope Fremont realizes they have a masterpiece in their tiny town and keeps their business local. This place can only get better if y?all give them the chance!
Excellent and delicious! Stopped in Alto last Friday night without a reservation and we were quickly seated with no issue. The service was excellent. We tried the fried mozzarella and meatballs off the small plates menu. Both were amazing. The combination of sauces was interesting and delicious and the meatballs were incredibly tender and flavorful. The mozzarella was what every bar appetizer mozzarella stick aspires to be. Perfectly fried with the combination of sauces, it was a wonderful start to our meal. We selected the chicken fettuccine alfredo and the spicy seafood pasta for our entree's, both were teeming with handmade pasta and rich sauces. My husband opted for fresh mozzarella on his spicy seafood pasta and the added cheese was excellent. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the thick fettuccine was delicious. The portions were generous and the service will bring us back. Our server Riley was knowledgeable and very friendly. We are planning a trip back to Fremont to dine in during Tuesday night sushi. A wonderful addition to downtown Fremont and we can't wait to come back to try more dishes.
