Restaurant Filou - Freiburg

Eating is very good, selected fish and the service is always friendly. the price-performance ratio is correct.

We were four in the filou eating and were all very satisfied. we had fish soup to starter ( unlike in frank but very tasty) and salad, jakobsmuschels, pfifferlings and still a dessert and everything was top. service super

We were there twice, once to silvester and once to dinner and have long thought about whether we should write an evaluation at all, as the chefin is such a friendly person and we are sorry. but after the second visit we were not really excited. therefore the critique. both paintings there were heights and deep. the suppe with a little bite was quite thin and did not taste for meat or vegetables, the little ones were completely neutral. in the lime butter sauce the lime taste was completely missing. the food was good overall, but also not exceptionally great. and the champagne announced in the menu at midnight was simply put on a side table, the glasses just half full. at the price and the level that the host pair actually wants, the champagne should be offered at least by the personal, possibly also with orange juice. the musician has repeatedly left his music pulmonary, thereby repeatedly paused. the music itself probably corresponded more to the taste of dj’s than the guests - correct mood did not arise. Maybe you should have tried more here.For our second visit we were looking forward to the fish soup. but also here the broth was very thin and had nothing to do with the marseiller related. the entrecote was well roasted, but tasted slightly overlaid and slightly acidic. I should have returned it. only the sweet and the potato burl were very good. also the portions more than sufficient. Overall, the price-performance ratio does not fit us and this is very bad. we cannot recommend this locally.

Later visit in the filou, it was little off, we had a nice service and a great eating a la carte

We still know the Schlemmer menu at the gourmet evening from the rieselfeld in freiburg and were completely enthusiastic at the time.Also we were not disappointed. We spent a wonderful evening with culinary delights and excellent care. we'll be back.
