Opa's Smoked Meats - Fredericksburg

First off, the reviews are skewed because during COVID some people were offended by the request to use masks.. that’s not fair to a business selling food products and is childish on the reviewers partI’m a big fan of their cheddar jalapeño sauasage. Got addicted while living in Austin and have ordered it on line for a few years. Recently visited Austin and the picture shows what’s going in my carry on . Have not had one person I’ve served this to not insist on the info to order. It’s that goodOne time in Leander I hosted a party where I grilled prime ribeyes and Opas jalapeño cheddar sausage and the guests raved more about the sausage..

Amazing shop! Knowledgeable staff. Products are amazing ! I came home with a ridiculous amount of meat

If I could have given a lesser rating I would have . I bought the jalapeno cheddar links and after two bites I put the remaining links in the trash , yes it was that bad .

The lady at the cash register was very friendly.l and helpful. My husband got a turkey and swiss sandwich and I got the honey chicken salad. Both were super good.

We have visited Fredricksburg twice and love this store. We especially like the Opa brand sauerkraut with caraway seeds, the Opa sausages especially the chicken, and their German mustard and horseradish options they carry. Today we ordered their deli sandwiches made to order. The bread and selected sandwich ingredients were delicious. The deli counter staff is very helpful taking time to give a sample or recommend a product in their store. We buy a variety of sauces,meats, and seasonings.
