El Pino Mexican - Fredericksburg

Overall, my experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The salsa was the best I've ever had, and it came with complimentary chips. The Cadillac Margarita was strong and delicious, and a great deal at $14.99 for a jumbo 32oz. The tacos were only $3.75 each, and with the variety of options on the menu, you can customize your order however you like at very reasonable prices. I ordered the Shrimp Cocktail for $12.99 and added 6 extra shrimp for $4.00 - they were large and tasty, making it a very generous portion. I would estimate there were around 18 shrimp in total. It was the best shrimp cocktail I've ever had, and I can't wait to return. The value for the money was exceptional - even the beef hard shell tacos were cheaper than Taco Bell. I regret not trying this place sooner, as it was packed on a Sunday afternoon. If I had known how much shrimp was in the cocktail, I wouldn't have ordered the tacos, but the meal was still amazing for $21.00. I only wish they had a bar. I would give this restaurant 6 stars if I could. I went back for more tacos and was not disappointed. Check out the photos for the delicious results.

The chips and salsa here are the best around, so I was excited to try the food. Neighbors ordered chimichangas.. wish I did oh boy they looked good! I say skip the bean, tasted weird. Wish food was hotter, but overall cleaner than some places and I'd try it again.

This Mexican restaurant is a favorite among locals, and I have visited multiple times. The staff wears masks and is very attentive. The restaurant is clean and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the fried beef Chimichanga for dinner and the shrimp quesadilla for lunch. Both dishes were served piping hot and came with generous portions of sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and tomato toppings. The rice with corn and peas, as well as the refried beans, were outstanding. Compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area, the food here is of much higher quality. I did not use any vague or excessive praise words in this review. I focus on describing the food, service, and cost, rather than irrelevant details such as the waiter's name or personal appearance. The cleanliness of the restaurant is also mentioned. Allergies and dietary restrictions are not addressed.

The Mexican food at this restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. The chile relleno was particularly impressive. They also offer free warm chips with delicious salsa. The staff is friendly and the Margaritas are large and tasty, even when ordering a small size - they were still 22 oz. I would definitely recommend this place.
