Gaststatte Niewo - Frankfurt am Main

We sat outside on a warn night and really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, quality food and great service. The place was obviously filled with locals which added to the ambience.

The place looks really nice and attractive and that's why we came in but left after about 15-20 minutes. The waitress was incredibly rude from the start. I asked for a drink and a glass of water because I was thirsty, she asked if I...want a large one (I figured a large glass) I said yes and she brought me a large bottle of club soda. Also, I asked for the Wi-Fi password as I wanted to get some work done for a bit and she proceeded to lecture me about how they don't use wifi and this is a place for people to socialize and asked me how long was I planning to sit there and work. I guess she was irritated by the fact it was a bistro and we just ordered a few drinks. After politely pointing out to her that that's not a way to treat her guests she got very loud and started arguing with my friend, saying that we misunderstood her but with a very snarky tone and we left soon after that. Overall, we felt unwelcome from the start and the entire experience was incredibly unpleasant.

I have been to Niewo many times with lots of different people and everybody always likes it. The food, the atmosphere and the service are always great. Food and wine are reasonably priced. In summer you can sit outside. I recommend to make a reservation...since Niewo is always busy, no matter what day of the week. For 2 people the corner tables to the left and right of the staircase when you enter are cosiest. The place is mainly frequented by locals.

Im Niewo hat man immer das Gefühl man ist bei Freunden beim essen. Super familiäre Atmosphäre und im Sommer super Möglichkeiten um draußen zu sitzen. Im kleinen Garten hat man das Gefühl man ist gar nicht mehr in Frankfurt und das Essen und die Getränke sind immer gut und haben ein tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Absolut zu empfehlen. Unbedingt reservieren!

Wenn man es etwas persönlicher und familiärer mag und dafür unkompliziert ist man hier genau richtig. Super Essen, super Service und Durstig wird man so schnell nicht
