Peace Cafe - Fort Shafter

Really disappointing for how highly this place is rated by others. I don’t know what they tried, but both mine and my partners meal was barely even edible. I had almost no effort into there flavors. And there were ants crawling along the windowsill by our table. Maybe if you prefer bland food, this place is for you.

Omgoodness! On our recent trip to Honolulu, we had a chance to experience this amazing restaurant. Their food is so good, I couldn't believe it. Finding good vegan restaurants who don't use sugar at all isn't as easy as it may seem. The restaurant itself is so cute and eclectic. The cashier was extra patient with us and everyone else who came in. She answered any questions about the dishes, their ingredients and even gave suggestions. We had the tofu katsu sandwich, the tofu/tempeh katsu curry plate, and piece of cornbread. I wanted to go back every day.

This is a vegan specialty store, and the very mild taste will make you feel relieved.

I visited this restaurant back in Nov 2022. I loved the food, the service and the vibe of the restaurant. I'll be there when I visit Oahu next time.

I drove from the North Shore, Saturday, February 10th, arrived at the restaurant at 6:40 PM, they were closed. ?Google suggests the place is open until 8 PM on Saturdays and that was confirmed by the sign at their own front door.It's going to be long drive back on an empty stomach.
