Vaticano Italian Fort Erie

For a truly authentic Italian meal in a divine setting, run, don't walk to Vaticano. Perched beside the headwaters of the Niagara River, the outdoor patio provides a mesmerizing view of the roiling waters. The interior is warmly cozy and intimate. The Spaghetti Carbonara is the best I have ever had. Everything is as one would expect from a dedicated chef/owner and his devoted staff. Wow.

This place is phenomenal. The food is absolutely incredible. You can taste that it is all home made. Because of this, there is a bit of a wait, but it is completely worth it. It was our first time visiting but it quickly became a favourite!Vegetarian options: Quite a few of their pasta dishes are vegetarian

Beautiful decor, great late night conversation with the Chef, Phil, and fantastic wine and tiramisu! I did not eat dinner, but can’t wait to come back with my wife. Thank you!

Beautiful atmosphere! The food was fresh and hot! Our server was always on top of things and was very nice!

The food was good. The service was bad. Waited and hour for our meal after we ordered. Two tables that came after us were able to order, eat and leave before we got our food. It's pricy. $75 is the minimum for a bottle of house cabernet. The view of the river is beautiful and the live music was nice. But I don't like to wait for overpriced meals so won't return
