This cafe is to die for! The staff are beyond accommodating and always make your experience feel special. Super generous with their servings too. Only fault is that I wish there was more vegan options but maybe I am being too greedy. Up the Plunge <3
Went here as I was gifted a voucher from a local paramedic and let me tell you the food was amazing! I ordered the scrambled eggs on toast and an iced mocha, they were superb and probably the best scrambled eggs I’ve had out
Style wins out over substance at this cool bar-come-cafe. I stopped in on a Sunday morning for a coffee and croissant, yes it was busy but despite lots of staff running/ standing around there didn’t seem to be an abundance of output. It took a while to be served (inexperienced counter person) and when I finally did place my order, another lengthy wait ensued before the coffee arrived. Despite ordering and paying for a large coffee, what arrived was not only NOT a large, but quite a bit a bit smaller than average in size. As I soon discovered, the milk was verging on burnt and the drink was too hot. Given the time elapsed since my arrival (at least 15 mins) and the long queue at the counter, I decided to cut my losses and concede that perhaps today was just the wrong day to visit this establishment. Needs to improve.
Brought a turduken vege pie and ham and cheese croissant and coffees takeaway. The pie was probably the worst pie I’ve ever had (couldn’t finish even half of it . Big chunks of raw cauliflower and capsicum and even smelled a bit funny. Usually the pie’s from here are good but I’ve noticed the last couple haven’t been. The croissant was cold in the middle and had no seasoning so we had to heat it up and add salt and pepper. Very disappointed but on a bright note at least the coffees were good. In response to owner’s comment: You ask everyone that gives you a bad review if they said anything to staff on the day which is a joke when you get takeaway food. Do you expect the customer to go all the way back to complain? And if you are serving takeaway you should put salt and pepper (that’s called seasoning on as no one carries salt and pepper around with them. You don’t seem to worried about the substandard food being served you seem more interested in making excuses.
