Xy Dim Sim Dumpling House - FORREST

XY Dim Sim Dumpling House provided me with the most disappointing Yumcha experience I've ever encountered for several reasons, including food quality, service, ambiance, and overall value. I have dined in numerous Yumcha restaurants across various countries, and I have never faced anything as abysmal as this. Most of the dishes we were served were overfried and unappetizing. The greasy, limp food was particularly noticeable, especially when compared to the fresh and flavorful options available in other restaurants in Canberra. Additionally, we were not given the opportunity to choose our dishes from a trolley or menu, which is typically an integral part of the Yumcha experience.

Fantastic dumplings, lovely atmosphere, and wonderful evenings. I really enjoyed the variety of dishes that were served. When I arrived, I intended to only try a few steamed dumplings, but I ended up tasting a bit of everything. I particularly liked the grilled dumplings and the mango dessert at the end. For under $20, don’t expect a gourmet menu—the decor isn’t impressive since it’s located on the top floor of the Italian club—but the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. It’s a great spot for lunch with friends. We will definitely be back!

The food was decent, but not outstanding. It's no surprise that they don't attract many customers. A rude man and an Asian woman kept taking turns napping on the couch near the entrance, which was quite off-putting.

I have been eating here for 5 years, now ive hunted them all around canberra and I will continue coming here for a very long time great service with big smiles mmmmmmmmm yum cha
