The tempe bacem is really good at Podomoro! The rendang is decent and the kangkung is pretty tasty, though it's in quite a thick corn starch-y sauce that I'm not used to. In Jakarta I've generally known it more as a stir fry with garlic or chilli. The chicken is on the dry side but that's quite normal in Indonesian cuisine.
Quick update 31 Oct, their soft bone fried chick (ayam kremes) is not really soft bone, more like fried chicken with heaps of crunchy batter piled on top. <br/ <br/ Newly opened indo joint, i couldnt post review or pics or upload any menu as listing wasnt up yet when i visited. <br/ <br/ Those who are familiar with the growing but still limited, indo food scene in sydney, will be quite happy to know that podo offers 'jajanan ' (street food tidbits). <br/ <br/ Pastel (veg/chick pasties indo style with vermicelli) 3.25/5<br/ <br/ Mie ayam bakso (dry chicken noodle with beef meatballs) 3.25/5<br/ <br/ Bakso goreng (giant fried meatballs) 3.5/5<br/ <br/ Not a bad place to swing by if you fancy some indo food in chinatown area. Service can be patchy, perhaps due to opening teething issues.
Cozy, free drinking water :D. Indonesian Cuisine, owner from indonesia too. Fried rice is too salty, oxtongue soup too sweet.
Very nice indo restaurant! We went there already two times and we'll be there again for sure. Very good food, good portions and good prices. I recommend it absolutely!
