Fresh Fish Shack - Exmouth

This is an excellent seafood store with a welcoming staff. I regret not being able to stay longer and sample more of their fantastic offerings. Seafood lovers should definitely not pass up a visit to this shop.

I went on a work trip to Exmouth and was unable to go on a local's boat to catch fresh fish. Determined to have some, I wandered down some side streets and stumbled upon Fresh Fish Shack. I got a delicious Snapper and cooked up a fantastic meal. It was delicious!

Great to see people running a business that do it right. Very friendly people and their seafood could not be any fresher unless you ate it still kicking. We bought snapper and prawns and you can really tell the difference from what you buy from Woolies and Coles, no comparison, the Shacks were delicious. Pity it's 2000k from home. A must if you are in Exmouth.

Just to clarify, this is a fish shop rather than a restaurant and is a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts. We purchased cooked prawns and two fish fillets (larger groups also have the option of a whole fish) - raw prawns were also on offer. The spangled emperor fish was especially delicious, a new type of fish for me but it was firm and full of flavor. We returned for a second visit during our trip, after a few days of inclement weather. It was evident that the selection was limited due to the local fishermen being unable to go out - this highlighted the shop's commitment to using fresh ingredients.

Great range of local produce - fresh fish and prawns went amazingly with our BBQ. Open 6 days - could do with a platter to try different things but you really can't go wrong whatever you buy.
