The staff are friendly, outgoing, and clearly proud of the experience they have created. The evening started with an overview of the farm by the bonfire outside, followed by a multi-course dinner with live musical entertainment inside the barn. There 's a set menu for the evening with everyone being served at the same time, and I 'd estimate the place holds about 40-50 people.
This place is magical. Their farm dinners are truly a delightful dining experience from start to finish. Wonderful food. Beautiful atmosphere. We love our evenings on the farm and look forward to them all year long.
A bit of a drive off the beaten path but worth the time and effort. Visited here last summer for dinner with some friends and had a great time.Claverach Farms is heavily into the farm to table movement and as such grows almost 100% of everything that they serve on the table.Flavors of the various dishes were well-balanced and delicious. As a meat eater I found the protein selection a bit sparse but for those that prefer a more vegetable based dinner this is absolute heaven for you.Moderate selection of mixed drinks and beers and the ability to walk around the grounds was nice. A guided tour was offered just before dinner for those interested in seeing the valley and hearing more about their self grown food model. The dining space was beautiful, but since it is open air if the weather gets hot and muggy be prepared for that. We went on a very warm very humid evening in June and I was glad that I brought a couple of miniature portable personal fans to help us keep a little bit of air movement.Overall a great experience that I would recommend for a romantic evening dinner or a great experience out with some friends. Just make sure you make reservations well ahead of time as it does fill up pretty quickly
Food was great, but our experience was absolutely awful. There was a large party that arrived drunk, and behaved like they were at a college fraternity party yelling at each other, whistling, name calling and threatening to fight other guests who requested they tone it down. Management looked the other way, and when asked, indicated that having large, badly behaved drunken groups was not an unusual occurrence. Pretty awful for a $75 a plate restaurant. We won't be back.
This place is absolutely incredible. I completely messed up the days I made my reservation for and missed my dinner. I contacted them and they immediately responded and set me up for the dinner the next day. Wow. Now that's customer service. The barn is stunning, nestled right in the Missouri bluffs. I kept hearing it was complicated to get there, but we had no trouble and actually enjoyed the fall colors along the drive. The food was to die for and with it being spread out between courses you get the chance to catch up with your friends or maybe walk out to the bonfire with a cocktail. There's is an incredible amount of work that goes into the food you eat. The owners take care of every detail, down to the microbiology of the soil the food is grown in. Highly recommend this experience. I can't wait to go back.
