Staff was incredibly rude. The café was slow at the time. Some of our items never came. We had to go in and ask for them after waiting a long while. After we finished up what we had, we asked for a refund for the missing items. One of the items we ordered wasn't on the ticket, so that was a misunderstanding. I heard my partner order it, but they denied it ever happened. The person that took the order came out angry and was cursing. They need better staffing. The place has potential, but that was the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. The first time I haven't left at least a 20% tip in 10 years. I understand the owner's name is Hannah. Someone should let her know how her employees are treating her customers. This happened on Sunday, October 16.
My wife and I always love looking for new places to eat and we decided to stop here for breakfast on our way to Branson. I have been to Eureka Springs many times but had never seen this place before. We love waffles and after reading the great reviews we stopped in here on Saturday morning. We both ordered a waffle and also an order of biscuits and gravy. The place was very quaint and we loved the atmosphere. The people were friendly that took our order. It took longer than we expected to get a couple waffles when there was only a couple tables of people at the time. But it wasn't too long. We were excited to try these Norwegian waffles as we are looking to actually go to Norway in the near future. Unfortunately I think they sat on the counter for a while before they brought them out because they were practically cold when we got them. The flavor was pretty good but nothing amazing but being cold and rubbery in texture we did not really care for them. We asked for the bacon to be extra crispy and man did they make it extra crispy. Usually we say that and it's still not crispy enough but it was pretty much bacon bits crispy. The biscuits and gravy was the star of the show. They had great homemade biscuits with sausage gravy and that was definitely delicious. I feel like the price was pretty high for how small and thin the waffles are and just two strips of bacon. Should at least get three strips for the price. Overall a decent experience but not good enough to make me want to go back unfortunately.
This place has rudest staff I have ever encountered. We are traveling from out of town and decided to try this place out. The tables were full so I asked a girl if we should put our name on a list. She replied with we don't do that here, it's fist come first serve and you just get a table when someone gets up. Ok, no problem. We waited. People are expected to bus their own tables, again no problem. After a table opened I asked the staff for something to wipe the table off with, they handed me a dry towel. I then had to ask for cleaner, because I'd like to eat at a clean table. We finally got seated and decided what we wanted to order. I walked up, ordered our food. I paid and asked for a receipt. They use square for merchant services and the girl told me that she couldn't give me a receipt. I explained to her that I also use square at my business and told her how to issue a receipt. She got super mad, rolled her eyes, and called me obscene. She called me obscene multiple times and I told her to just give me my money back. This is the place for you if you want to be treated like trash and clean up other people's dirty tables!!
This place is awesome! I’ve been eating here for 8 years and it never ceases to amaze me. I highly recommend! The Nordic waffle is probably my very favorite, but it’s hard to choose the best meal because they are all out of this world! Dine in or carry out it’s definitely best lunch and breakfast in town. The vibes are very chill and relaxed. Thanks to all the staff for all of the delightfully delicious food and drink!
