Mei Li - EUREKA SPRINGS

Amazing little surprise we found today on our road trip! We just happened on this wonderful little place by chance, while we drive a Saturday through the colorful Arkansas hills to see the autumn colors. It was a bit cool today and maybe 60 degrees outside when we arrived, but the new outdoor deck session looked so inviting with the afternoon sun at the right angle to have warmth while enjoying the fresh air and the mountain breeze. We couldn't resist. The owner personally took care of us and even set up a warmer table in our suitcase, which we got cool. The food was very fresh and creative. My wife and I eat a lot of seafood, sushi, Asian dishes and we were both very impressed by everything we ordered. We even had luck and ended up with an amazing off-menu appetizer that they only made my wife for a random comment. This is the first time in years I had more than a completely new type of sushi rolls or dishes that were originally and brilliantly executed by a cook who clearly takes care of more than earning money. I could experience the pride of his craftsmanship and commitment to the customers in everything. Even the simple complementary soup was head and shoulders above what we are used to. TLDR... Fresh ingredients, friendly care owners and employees, clean environment, incredible food... they could charge much more for this food and it would still be worth every bite.

Excellent food. And the owner is full! The food is artistic. My favorite restaurant in town. The free soups are amazing. Hot and acid soup is my favorite. Every sushi roll I had is absolutely delicious!

Delicious specialty sushi. Pays 12 for the Katapiller and is worth the money. Easily fast food too. Quiet atmosphere.

Andy the su chef and owner was amazing! Very friendly, knowledgeable and talented! When we're ever in town we will go back. Advice: get the roasted garlic edamame as an appetizer. Amazing!!

We love eating here! Anytime we are in the area and Mei Li 's is open, we stop in and grab a bite to eat. Not only is the food delicious, but Andy and his staff are phenomenal. They are very personable and always have us coming back. We will be in the area in mid-March for a friend 's birthday, so we will be sure to stop by to celebrate her special day. Andy, if you 're reading this, the Springfield Girls say hi! : See you next month!
