Jack Astor's Bar & Grill - Etobicoke

It is really hard to find many positives about Jack Astor's. Oh here's one ..... the decor is really nice.On this trip we've eaten at many places in the Toronto area. Jack Astor would rate as # 2 on our list of least favorite places we dined at on this tripThe food ok okThe service was unbelievably sub-par. Some of the server staff (although some seemed very attentive) needs training. A simple make occasional eye contact with your customers might be a good place to start. We had to stop other waitresses when we needed a refill of water even though we requested it from our waitressPerhaps more emphasis should be placed on good service rather than " attire "

Jack Astor's was a convenient and accessible restaurant within walking distance of the Crown Plaza Hotel. The burgers were excellent and the service great.

Lately I've been visiting Jack's more often than usual. That's because it's a good when-in-doubt spot. The chicken fingers are always a hit, although I had buyer's remorse when I saw the chicken skewer. I do enjoy their drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Food is very tasty and well mixed, however the portions are small compared to price. I am leaving now to get a quick bite after this dinner. Place is clean and staff are great. I recommend it .

We ate at Jack Astor's while attending a convention nearby, even though the restaurant was very busy, we were given a table quite quickly. Our sever was very pleasant, and made sure all of our choices were correct and served quickly. The menu has a good selection for many pallets , and prices are mid range and not too expensive that you couldn't bring your whole family for a meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty meal, a pleasant atmosphere, and fast and courteous service.
