Przekaż informację zwrotnąJR's, Sloppy Duck, is in the marina. Great view of the bay and the boats. The food was good, and the service was fast. The home made chips with old bay were great with drinks. The hamburgers are good and huge. This is the off season so the outdoor bar was closed but they did have outdoor seating on the bay side of the building.
Also Sloppy Duck, same restaurant, was not good at all. The waitress was excellent. The view of the marina is nice, although not where we would have seen the sunset. The drinks were made with very cheap alcohol. The salad was crisp iceberg, passable. His chicken Parm was a thin breaded half breast with a bit of mild tomato sauce and a melted slice of mozzerella. It was just ok. What was very disappointing was the chef's special, sole served on asparagus risotto. The fish was fried so hard on one side I actually struggled to cut it with my butter knife, way overdone. The risotto was milky, unseasoned and bland. The manager never even came to the table to ask what was wrong. They did remove it from the bill the waitress tried to offer something else, but I was done trying their cook's offerings. There was no offer of a dessert or drink, not that I really wanted one, but basically, I had no supper but a small side salad.
We were looking for sit-down, outdoor eating options on our 5 day trip to Erie found Jr's on the bay. They had several outside but covered areas for dining which was great, one of them was actually a bay view. They built individual cabanas (booths) with island names on them, so cute, as well as seating under a large tent. The food was very good, service was good as well. We enjoyed the experience so much we went twice.
Had a great experience, got the last table upstairs by the window, was nice watching the rain. Danielle was a server she was very good attentive and super friendly. I got the catch of the day which was seared scallops over califlower corn risotto, was excellent, scallops cooked perfect. The husband got the new York strip steak, he said it was very good, tender and cooked good. Food came out hot. Will be coming back next time we are in Erie.
Food was mediocre at best and a bit pricey. Like 12 bucks for a burger and fries that you had to pay a dollar for a piece of cheese. Service was awful. Seemed to be under-staffed not an issue with the waitress herself. Won't be back by choice.
