Baumstriezel Am Dom - Erfurt

We wanted to go up to the cathedral and climbed up the steps. At half height we discovered this small cafe, which also sells memorables, souvenirs and postcards. It is a very tiny cafe, right at the dome levels, with some tables and chairs, but has a very nice owner with whom we talked. From the internet we had a voucher for 1 coffee deck via the voucher 2/1. Our voucher has been accepted, and for the selection were barleyberry cakes or pancakes with sprout. Our favorite was the pancake, with a loose dough, (I tapped on yeast vinegar) but was clarified that it was a quark oily. Anyway, the pancake, thickly pruned with plums, top on it really crispy sprout, tasted like before at omema, simply great... We had the voucher for 1 time cake and coffee. For the second coffee table we only paid 3,60 € I learned that this cake sold here is baked daily. In the cafe you can also get small dishes such as rust sausage, onion cakes and spring whites, ice coffee, as well as souvenirs are also available here. A beautiful place to make an intermediate stop on the way to the Cathedral.

Stopped here for a Baumstriezel and it was delicious. Got it with cinnamon and sugar. Nice view to enjoy it too
