The Steak Out - Edmonton

There was only one other customer dining in when I was there at dinner time. I had the smoked meat sandwich and a pickle, both of which were acceptable. To be more than 3 stars, I think a place should not make you wonder about the financial stability of the place. I was wondering if it would be worth doing some renovations, if that would help increase business. Sharing the kitchen with the pub side must help costs. It was okay and helped remind me what places looked like a few decades ago.

Congrats on serving me the absolute worst pizza I've ever had in my life. First and last time at this place. GF crust was thin and gross like it was undercooked or something, the steak was terrible, like something I'd find in a dumpster, threw half of it away as it wasn't editable. Fatty, grisly , dry and over cooked, really bad and super poor quality. Hopefully it wasn't dropped on the floor and just cut up. The kicker was that this disaster of a pizza was a ridiculous $30, way over priced, especially since I'm allergic to cheese and mushrooms but still got charged for it. Sauce was weird and uneven and it only took 40 mins for the food to come out. Was only offered pop refills when we were getting ready to leave, pretty poor service but an empty restaurant but maybe now I know why it was empty. 0 stars, never again.

Two couples ordered two large pizzas for takeout on a Friday night. Ours was “The Hawaiian”. Theirs was pepperoni and mushrooms. Both pies were excellent, and because we picked up our order we saved even more. We didn’t have to order extra cheese or extra sauce both were generously supplied. The crust was also excellent. In short, we all agree with the neighbours who recommended the place. We’ll be back. Now, why didn’t I rate the restaurant higher because in all honesty I didn’t use the restroom, or experience the in house service and the icy parking lot was not perfect. Having said that note the pizza was “perfect” and it was on ready upon arrival.

Phone was answered with Hello I had to ask if I had the right place. I had to tell her my name twice and my order twice. There was one thing on my order. My husband arrived to pick it up and was blinked at, they had no idea what he was talking about. Eventually the order was found, he paid in cash, she had no change, and had to go find some. (You walk up to the counter to pick up your order). While change was being found a rude younger woman asked what do you want . We will not be back!

I’m amazed that they are still in business!! Horrible!! Will NEVER go back!! Sad that a business in a perfect location cannot thrive. 1. Get a major renovation. 2 Hire a qualified chef. do some restaurant hopping and take a really really good look at what quality food REALLY IS!!
