Our friends had snagged the last table which is great as there's a steady stream of customers on a Sunday afternoon. The seating isn't large but consists of half booth and half chairs and there isn't much room between tables. They likely have lots of take out customers too.We looked at the menu and once decided, made our way to the counter to order. I ordered a vermicelli bowl with shrimp. Close to the counter, they have glasses and hugs of water to pour yourself. There's also cutlery to help yourself to. After sitting down, we didn't need to wait too long before our bowls arrived. They didn't come out at the same time but within a few minutes. My bowl was large with lots of loose noodles and lettuce. The shrimp was nicely grilled on a skewer and they provided enough fish sauce. Although we didn't feel rushed to leave, there were more customers arriving. Our bowls were cleared timely after we finished. Great food and will definitely be back!
The place is nice and clean, and cozy and it's a great place for lunch. There's a menu at the front with pictures to make it easy to order. Try the
Drove by here last week and decided to give it a try this weekend and we were quite impressed with the quality and tastes presented to us. We both opted for the rice, pork chops and fried egg, with a side of steamed vegetables and some kimchi. You also receive a complementary broth soup. The staff are friendly the restaurant is very clean and the food was delicious will define to go here again when the opportunity arises. A great addition to this neighbourhood.
This restaurant is in a strip mall at 9524-163 St. next to a Rexall drugstore. There is also a nice Halal store in the same complex and we also saw a sign saying that a Manila Bakery will be opening next to it soon, so there’s a good variety of ethnic foods in this mall. The inside of Co Do Hue is simple, but comfortable (like most Vietnamese restaurants.) You go up to the front counter to order and pay and then pick up your own utensils, napkins and condiments from a table next to the counter. The food is brought to your table when ready.I had the Salad Rolls with peanut dip (I found the dip a little bland;) you get 4 large rolls for $8.75 that contains lots of fresh lettuce, some vermicelli noodles and a choice of meat (I chose shrimp but you can get pork, chicken, or beef too.) I’d have them again. The Vermicelli Bowl $10.95 with pork and spring rolls was (huge and) very tasty. The fried rice $4.95 was plain but good, as were the grilled skewers of beef (did contain MSG) and (lemongrass) chicken at $4.95 each; the portions were generous. We will eat here again and may try it for take-out sometime.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurantWe were looking for a vegan place in the North end or even a place that had vegan options.
